The week in one line
Thirty-nine Super Boosts settled in the window of Monday 12 October to Sunday 18 October 2026. At the flat notional stake of £10 each, that is £390 staked and a profit of exactly £0, an ROI of 0.0%. Fourteen won and 25 lost, with nothing voided and nothing left unsettled, so the strike rate reads 35.9% and the ledger for the week is closed.
A break-even week is an unusual thing to look at. The individual results were anything but flat: a 13/2 winner at one end, six straight losers at a single bookmaker at the other. They simply cancelled out to the penny.
How the bookmakers split
Four of the eight firms finished the week in front and four finished behind.
| Bookmaker | Settled | Won | Profit | ROI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Betfred | 4 | 3 | £30 | 75.0% |
| bet365 | 5 | 3 | £25 | 50.0% |
| Ladbrokes | 10 | 2 | £25 | 25.0% |
| BOYLE Sports | 5 | 3 | £10 | 20.0% |
| Betfair | 3 | 1 | -£10 | -33.3% |
| Paddy Power | 3 | 1 | -£10 | -33.3% |
| Sky Bet | 3 | 1 | -£10 | -33.3% |
| William Hill | 6 | 0 | -£60 | -100.0% |
Ladbrokes is the line worth pausing on. Ten Super Boosts, only two winners, a strike rate of 20%, and still £25 of profit, because both winners were priced long. Betfred posted the best return of the week on four settled boosts, and bet365 came next on five. At the other end, William Hill went nought from six for a loss of £60 - the single biggest drag on the week's total, and on its own enough to turn a break-even week into a positive one had any one of the six landed.
How the sports split
Football carried the volume and the profit: 31 settled, 12 won, £40 up at an ROI of 12.9%. The other two sports both went the other way. American Football was the heavier loser, one winner from five for -£30 and an ROI of -60.0%, while Horse Racing returned one from three for -£10. Between them those eight non-football boosts wiped out the football profit exactly.
Standouts and misses
Sunday's Leeds v Manchester United fixture dominated both ends of the list. Ladbrokes' combination of both teams to score, Calvert-Lewin and Mbeumo each with 1+ shots on target and both teams taking 2+ cards landed at 13/2 for a return of £65, the biggest single win of the week. The same firm's Benfica v Celtic boost on Wednesday - both teams to score, over 8.5 corners and over 3.5 goals - came in at 4/1 for £40. From the same Leeds match, bet365's 5/2 shot-on-target and cards treble returned £25 and Betfred's 2/1 both-halves boost returned £20. Further back, BOYLE Sports' evens both teams to score at Coventry v Newcastle on the Monday brought in £10. The full day sheets are at 18 October and 15 October.
The misses were all £10 losses at even money, which is what the short end of the market looks like when it fails. Sky Bet had Matheus Cunha for 1+ shot on target at Leeds and Chelsea to score in the first half at Goodison; William Hill had Leeds to lead at any time and, the day before, Newcastle to lead at any time against Aston Villa; BOYLE Sports had Joao Pedro to score or assist at Everton v Chelsea.
Against last week and against the record
The previous seven-day window also had 39 settled Super Boosts, but 18 of them won for a strike rate of 47.4% and a profit of £27.5 from £380 staked, an ROI of 7.2%. So volume held steady while the strike rate fell by more than eleven points and the profit went to nil.
All time, the running ledger now stands at 276 settled Super Boosts, 120 won, £2,700 staked and £152.5 of profit, an ROI of 5.7% at a 44.4% strike rate. A week at exactly zero leaves that headline figure untouched in pounds and nudges the long-run averages slightly.
What this is and is not
This is a record of what backing every listed Super Boost at the same £10 would have returned across one week. It is not a judgement on any bookmaker: six losers in a row and three winners from four are both ordinary things to find in samples this small, and a week's ROI tells you almost nothing about the firm behind it. It is not a forecast either. Past results do not predict future ones, and nothing here says what the next window will do. If you want to see how a given price compares with the unboosted one, the value calculator does that arithmetic, and the full archive holds every boost we have listed.
