The week in one line

Thirty-one Super Boosts settled between Monday 14 September and Sunday 20 September 2026. At the flat £10 notional stake the ledger recorded a loss of £17.50 from £300 staked, a return on investment of -5.8%. Twelve won, 18 lost and one was void. The strike rate was 40.0%. Nothing from the window is still waiting on a result, so these figures are final rather than provisional.

How the bookmakers split

The spread was wide. Four firms finished the week in front and four finished behind, and the gap between the best and worst was £50 of notional profit.

BOYLE Sports had the best week of the eight, three winners from four at a 75.0% strike rate. Betfred posted a 100% ROI, though from a single settled boost, which is a reminder of how little one result tells you. At the other end, Paddy Power went nought from three and lost every penny staked, while William Hill turned four boosts into a £20 loss.

Volume did not protect anyone. Ladbrokes and Betfair each listed six boosts, the joint highest counts of the week, and finished £20 apart.

How the sports split

Football supplied 25 of the 31 settled boosts and £240 of the £300 staked. It returned £2.50 of profit, an ROI of 1.0%, from ten winners and 14 losers with the week's single void. American Football went two from four for exactly break-even across £40 staked. The two Horse Racing boosts both lost, taking £20 out and leaving that sport at -100% for the window. In short, football paid for itself, the NFL boosts cancelled out, and racing was the difference between a small profit and the £17.50 loss.

The standouts

The biggest single return came from Ladbrokes on Tuesday, a 4/1 four-leg build on Liverpool v Tottenham asking for a Liverpool win with over 6.5 corners, over 2.5 cards and over 2.5 goals. It landed and returned £40 profit. It was also the only Ladbrokes winner of the six they listed.

bet365's 9/4 treble on Bournemouth v Liverpool - Alexander Isak to have a shot on target, Alex Scott to commit a foul, Dominik Szoboszlai to win a foul - came in for £22.50. Three further winners paid £10 each at Evens: BOYLE Sports on a goal in both halves at Leeds v Newcastle, William Hill on Leeds to lead at any time in the same match, and Betfair on Josh Allen and Jared Goff both passing for 200 yards at Detroit Lions @ Buffalo Bills.

The worst of the misses clustered on one leg. Four separate firms priced Dominik Szoboszlai to have a shot on target at Bournemouth on Sunday - Sky Bet, BOYLE Sports and Paddy Power directly, all at Evens - and each lost £10. William Hill's Evens on Man Utd to score two or more at Fulham went down the same afternoon, and Betfair's Evens on Redorange for a top-three finish in the 13:02 at Newbury on Saturday was one of the two failed racing boosts. The Sunday card was where most of the damage was done.

Against the previous week and the long run

The window before this one settled 36 boosts for a £7.50 profit at 2.1% ROI, with 16 winners and a 45.7% strike rate. So volume fell by five, the strike rate slipped by a little under six points, and a small profit became a modest loss.

Across every settled Super Boost to the end of this week, the running ledger stands at 141 boosts, 60 won and 78 lost with three void, £1,380 staked and £60 of profit at a 4.3% ROI. This week's £17.50 loss trims that total without changing its shape.

What this is and is not

This is a record of what backing every listed Super Boost at the same £10 notional stake would have returned across these seven days. It is arithmetic applied after the fact, taken from the full archive, and you can see how any individual price was framed using the value calculator. It is not a verdict on any bookmaker: a 100% ROI from one boost and a -100% ROI from three are both far too small a sample to mean much. Nor does any of it describe what the next window will do. Past results do not predict future ones, and nothing here is a suggestion to back anything.
