The week in one line

Twenty-seven Super Boosts settled in the window of Monday 31 August to Sunday 6 September 2026. At the flat notional stake of £10 apiece, £270 was staked and the ledger came back £12.50 down, an ROI of -4.6%. Ten won and seventeen lost, a strike rate of 37.0%, with nothing voided and nothing left unsettled.

That is a narrow loss off a fairly busy week. The boosts landed on only four days - 31 August, then 4, 5 and 6 September - so the week was front-loaded with one midweek fixture and then compressed into the weekend.

How the bookmakers split

Eight bookmakers contributed. Three finished the week in front, one broke even, and four finished behind.

Paddy Power53£15.0030.0%
BOYLE Sports53£10.0020.0%

William Hill41-£17.50-43.8%
Betfred20-£20.00-100.0%
bet36540-£40.00-40.0%

Two qualifiers on that table. Ladbrokes posted the highest return of the week off just two settled boosts, which is a sample small enough that a single result decides the sign. And bet365's four boosts all lost, as did both from Betfred, so the two zero-strike columns account for £60 of the week's damage between them. Paddy Power and BOYLE Sports each hit three from five and were the steadiest contributors.

How the sports split

Football did the heavy lifting: 20 settled, 8 won, £17.50 profit from £200 staked, an ROI of 8.8%. The single Boxing Super Boost won and returned £10 at 100% ROI. Horse Racing was the drag - six settled, one won, £40 lost from £60 staked, an ROI of -66.7%. Strip the racing out and the week reads very differently, which is worth noting rather than acting on: the ledger counts everything published, not a filtered selection.

The standouts

The biggest single return came from Ladbrokes on Arsenal v Chelsea on Sunday 6 September: Saka and Palmer both 1+ shots on target, over 3.5 cards and both teams to score, at 6/1, returning £60 profit at the flat stake. That one boost is more than the whole week's shortfall.

Behind it, Paddy Power's Havertz and Saka shots-on-target double at 6/4 on 31 August made £15, and William Hill's Liverpool to lead at half time at 5/4 on 4 September made £12.50. Florian Wirtz to have 1+ shots on target in the same Ipswich v Liverpool game was boosted to Evens by both BOYLE Sports and Paddy Power, and both won £10.

The misses were uniform in size, since almost everything else sat at Evens. Arsenal to score the first goal (William Hill), Bruno Fernandes 1+ shots on target (Sky Bet), Yoane Wissa 1+ shots on target (Paddy Power), Anthony Elanga to have a shot on target (BOYLE Sports) and Constitution Hill for a top-three finish in the 14:50 Kempton (bet365) each cost £10. You can see the full day-by-day picture at 6 September and 5 September.

Against the previous week and all time

The preceding window settled 23 boosts for £50 profit, an ROI of 22.7% and a 45.5% strike rate. So this week was busier, less accurate and £62.50 worse in cash terms. Across all 74 settled Super Boosts to the end of this window, the running total is £70 profit from £730 staked, an ROI of 9.6% and a strike rate of 43.8%. The week has trimmed that cushion without wiping it out. The running profit and loss moves as boosts settle.

What this is and what it is not

This is a record of what backing every Super Boost we listed, at the same £10 every time, would have returned across one seven-day window. It is not a verdict on any bookmaker: two settled boosts do not describe a firm's pricing, and a run of four losers does not either. It is not a filtered or selective record, and it says nothing about what the next window will do. Past results do not predict future ones. If you want to examine the underlying prices yourself, the archive and the value calculator hold the detail.
