The month in one line
One hundred and twenty-two Super Boosts settled in September 2026. Backed at the flat notional stake of £10 each, they staked £1,180 and returned a loss of £17.50, an ROI of -1.5%. Fifty-one won, 67 lost and four were void. The strike rate was 43.2%.
That is about as close to level as a 122-bet month gets. Nothing settled after the window closed, so every figure here is final rather than provisional.
How the bookmakers split
The aggregate was flat, but the spread underneath it was not. Four books finished the month in front and four behind.
| Bookmaker | Boosts | Won | Profit | ROI |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Betfair | 19 | 12 | £60.00 | 33.3% |
| bet365 | 21 | 10 | £32.50 | 15.5% |
| Sky Bet | 10 | 6 | £30.00 | 30.0% |
| BOYLE Sports | 16 | 9 | £20.00 | 12.5% |
| Betfred | 10 | 3 | -£22.50 | -25.0% |
| Paddy Power | 13 | 4 | -£40.00 | -33.3% |
| William Hill | 15 | 5 | -£47.50 | -31.7% |
| Ladbrokes | 18 | 2 | -£50.00 | -29.4% |
Betfair had the best month in pounds, £60 from 19 boosts at a 66.7% strike rate, with Sky Bet close behind on ROI from a smaller sample of ten. At the other end, Ladbrokes won just two of 18 and shed £50.
That Ladbrokes line is worth sitting with, because those two winners were the two biggest of the month.
The standout wins
The best single result came on Saturday 5 September's card - strictly the Sunday 6th kick-off - when Ladbrokes priced Saka and Palmer both having 1+ shots on target, over 3.5 cards and both teams to score at 6/1 for Arsenal v Chelsea. It landed, returning £60 from the £10 stake. Ladbrokes' other winner came at Anfield on 15 September: Liverpool to win with over 6.5 corners, over 2.5 cards and over 2.5 goals at 4/1, worth £40.
After that the returns thin out quickly. A bet365 treble on Isak, Scott and Szoboszlai at 9/4 on 20 September was worth £22.50, a Sky Bet shots-on-target double at 2/1 made £20, and England to win, take most corners and most shots on target against Czechia at 2/1 added another £20 on 29 September.
The worst misses
There were no outsized losses, because at a flat stake there cannot be: every losing boost costs exactly £10. The five largest were all even-money singles, and all football. BOYLE Sports on a goal in each half in Czechia v England, Paddy Power on Saka having 1+ shots on target including woodwork against Spain, bet365 on Bruno Fernandes to score or assist against Wales, and both Sky Bet and BOYLE Sports independently pricing Szoboszlai to have a shot on target at Bournemouth. Short-priced, single-leg boosts are where the month leaked.
How the sports split
Football supplied 80 of the 122 boosts and most of the damage, losing £27.50 at -3.6% from a 40.3% strike rate. Horse racing was the second-biggest category at 21 boosts and finished £10 up. American Football was the best-performing category with volume behind it: 13 boosts, seven winners, £20 profit at 16.7%. Two boxing boosts and one cricket boost won everything they had. Darts went nought from four for a £40 loss, and the single multi-sport boost lost too.
Against the previous window and the record
The month before settled 49 boosts for a £87.50 profit at 18.2%. September more than doubled the volume and gave back a slice of that. The all-time ledger now reads 171 settled Super Boosts, £1,660 staked, £70 profit and an ROI of 4.2% at a 44.6% strike rate. In other words, the running total is still positive, but a flat September on two and a half times the previous volume pulled the long-run figure a long way back towards zero. You can watch that line move on the running results page.
What this is and is not
This is a record of what backing every Super Boost we listed, at the same £10 every time, would have returned across one month. It is arithmetic applied after the fact. It is not a verdict on any bookmaker: ten boosts or 18 boosts is a small sample, and one 6/1 winner moves a column further than a fortnight of even-money singles. It is not a signal either. Past results do not predict future ones, and nothing in this window says anything about what the next one will do.
