The month in one line

Forty-nine Super Boosts were logged in August 2026 and all forty-nine settled. At the flat notional stake of £10 each, that meant £480 staked and a profit of £87.50, a return on investment of 18.2%. Twenty-three won, twenty-five lost and one was void. The strike rate was 47.9%, so slightly fewer than half the boosts landed and the month still finished ahead - a reminder that at boosted odds the win count on its own does not settle the ledger.

There were no unsettled boosts left in the window, so these figures are final unless a result is corrected. The record covers nine dated days, from 21 August through to 31 August.

How the bookmakers split

Eight bookmakers published Super Boosts that we logged in the window. William Hill was the most prolific with nine, bet365 had eight, and Betfair the fewest with two.

Ladbrokes carried the month on a sample of four, which is small enough that one result moves the whole line. Betfred had the best strike rate at 80% from five settled results plus one void, while Paddy Power won five of seven. At the other end, bet365 won two of eight and BOYLE Sports two of seven. Sky Bet and Betfair both finished exactly level.

How the sports split

Football dominated the ledger with 42 of the 49 boosts. It returned £67.50 from £410 staked, an ROI of 16.5%, with 19 winners, 22 losers and the month's one void. Horse Racing accounted for the other seven, winning four for £20 profit from £70 staked and an ROI of 28.6%. The racing ROI is the higher of the two, but seven results is a very thin sample and should be read that way.

The standout results

The biggest single return came on 30 August, when Ladbrokes priced both teams to score, most corners to Man Utd and Fernandes for one or more assists in Man Utd v Ipswich at 7/1. At £10 that returned £70 profit on its own. The same firm's Arsenal v Coventry treble on 21 August - Arsenal to win, Havertz and Odegaard with a shot on target each, over 2.5 goals - landed at 4/1 for £40. Between them those two accounted for the bulk of the month's surplus.

Below that, Paddy Power's Havertz and Saka shots-on-target double at 6/4 in Aston Villa v Arsenal returned £15, as did bet365's each-to-win racing boost at Goodwood on 30 August at the same price. William Hill's Haaland anytime scorer at 5/4 in Crystal Palace v Man City added £12.50.

The losses were uniform in size, because each cost the same £10. Haaland failing to score for BOYLE Sports in Man City v Bournemouth on 23 August, Szoboszlai missing the target for Betfair at Anfield, Morgan Rogers missing the target in Chelsea v Brighton for both Paddy Power and Sky Bet, and Arsenal failing to score in the first half for William Hill at Villa Park. All five were priced at evens, and the repeat of the Rogers selection across two firms shows how the same market can cost the ledger twice on one afternoon.

Against the previous window and all time

There is no comparable window before this one: nothing had settled in the month prior, so the previous-period figure is empty. That also means the all-time record is identical to August 2026 - 49 settled, £87.50 profit, 18.2% ROI, 47.9% strike rate. The running results page will start to show genuine month-on-month movement once a second window closes.

What this record is

This is a ledger. It records what backing every Super Boost we listed at the same £10 notional stake would have returned across this window, nothing more. It is not a verdict on any bookmaker, and a four-boost sample returning 225% tells you about four results rather than about a firm's pricing. Past results do not predict future ones, and nothing here suggests what the next window will do. If you want to see the raw entries, they sit in the archive, and the value calculator shows the arithmetic behind a boosted price.
